The Submarine House, built in Dayton in 1973, was the first to introduce the East Coast Cheese Steak to Ohio. Perfecting the thin-sliced steak, high quality Italian roll, and sautéed toppings and cheese, the Submarine House gives customers a true taste of Philly. The loaded, made-to-order sub became our trademark. Since then, we've gone down in Dayton history as the best sub for the money.

The Submarine House Bar & Grill offers customers a full menu featuring numerous Philly cheese steak options, salads, oven toasted deli subs, appetizers, desserts and more! The franchise is designed to generate revenue from additional sources, including our full bar service with a wide array of mixed drinks, beers and wines. The fast-casual environment with large screen televisions, game consoles, Keno and live music appeals to all crowds - making this original restaurant a new Ohio classic.

We started with a sandwich, a few more inches of quality meat, cheese and choice toppings. Now our extensive menu appeals to all crowds, including the health conscious.
All of our subs are available with “The Works” and can be customized to preference. We offer favorites, such as pizza, chicken tenders or a 4” sub, portions just right for smaller appetites, or “Super” or “Super Duper” options for the more hearty appetites, all available in our fast casual, community environment.
